Phenylephrine is a decongestant that shrinks the blood vessels in the affected area of skin and decreases swelling.

Beclometasone is a steroid that restricts the formation of certain chemical messengers known as prostaglandins that make the skin red, swollen and itchy.

Lidocaine or Lignocaine is a local anesthetic that works by blocking pain signals from the nerves to the brain thereby decreasing pain sensation.

Dosage

The dosage of Anovate cream depends on the various factors such as the grade of piles, age, and severity of the problem. Consult a doctor to know the application dose. It is for external use only. Sometimes, the doctor may prescribe it for post-hemorrhoidectomy pain and minor proctitis pain.

What if I miss a dose of application?

Apply as soon as you remember about the missed dose. Skip the missed dose, if it is already time for the next dose. Do not take extra doses to make-up for the missed dose.

How to apply it to the affected area?

This cream is for external use only. Use it as advised by your doctor or you can check the directions mentioned on the packet before use. Wash your hands before applying. Clean and dry the affected area and then apply the cream. Wash your hands after applying, unless hands are the affected area.
