What Is Ivecop-DT Tablet?

 Ivecop-DT Tablet is used to treat worm infections in the intestine, skin, and eyes. This medicine works by killing the worms.

Ivecop-DT Tablet may cause side effects like nausea, dizziness, weakness, diarrhoea, sleepiness, etc. These side effects are mild and may subside by themselves. However, consult your doctor if they bother you for a longer time or worsen. Avoid driving vehicles or operating machines if you feel dizzy.

Ivecop-DT Tablet is a dispersible tablet. It is to be taken on an empty stomach. It is usually recommended as a single dose. However, based on your clinical condition, your doctor may suggest you take this medicine a few times a year at relevant intervals till the infection is completely cured. Do not take more than the recommended dose. 


Ivecop-DT Tablet should be avoided if you are allergic to it. Inform your doctor if you have any other health problems or are taking any other medicines. It is not recommended for use in children with a bodyweight of less than 15 kg. Consult your doctor if you are pregnant or are breastfeeding.

Uses of Ivecop-DT Tablet


What is it prescribed for?

 Onchocerciasis

Onchocerciasis (river blindness) is a worm infection caused by Onchocerca volvulus and is spread by the bite of an infectious blackfly. It is characterised by severe itching, bumps under the skin, and vision impairment. If left untreated, this condition may also cause partial or complete vision loss. Ivecop-DT Tablet is used to treat this condition.

Strongyloidiasis

Strongyloidiasis is a parasitic infection caused by Strongyloides stercoralis, or sometimes S. fülleborni. It may cause abdominal pain, diarrhoea, rashes, etc. Ivecop-DT Tablet is used to treat this condition.

Scabies

Scabies is a skin infection caused by the mite called Sarcoptes scabiei, also known as itch mite. It is characterised by tiny red rashes with constant itching. Ivecop-DT Tablet is used to treat this condition.
