What is use Neo Mercazole 20 mg ?

Neo Mercazole 20 Tablet is an anti-thyroid medicine. It is used to treat hyperthyroidism (an overactive thyroid gland). It is also used to relieve the symptoms of hyperthyroidism before radioactive iodine treatment or thyroid surgery. This medicine works by lowering the production of thyroxine.

Neo Mercazole 20 Tablet causes rapid weight loss as the most common side-effect. You may also experience other side effects like diarrhoea, joint pain, itching, skin rash, fever, headache, drowsiness, etc. These side effects may subside on their own. If they bother you for a longer time or worsen, consult your doctor. Avoid using this medicine if you are allergic to it.

Neo Mercazole 20 Tablet is used in the treatment of this disorder. It is also used to relieve the symptoms of hyperthyroidism before radioactive iodine treatment or thyroidectomy (surgery of the gland that produces the thyroid).
